Equip your bathroom
against daily plastic waste
The bathroom is the second room in our homes, along with the kitchen, where we can find most of our plastic products. It is often difficult to find alternatives to these. So I am giving you a non-exhaustive list of brands that do not use plastic in their products.
It’s up to you to remove plastic from your bathroom and go to zero waste in this room: razors, soaps, shampoos, toothpaste, toothbrushes, detergents and micro-plastic filters.
Razors
Disposable razors are truly an aberration in consumption and respect for the environment. Although some brands have launched themselves into the production of bio plastic razors and the collection of their single use razors, they are still disposable and very polluting. With a stainless-steel razor, there is no problem, you can keep it for a lifetime, you only need to change the blade.
Personalize and make your own razor: you can have the choice between different materials, colors and shapes. No need to through it away anymore after you’ve used it.

Toothbrushes
One of the most polluting items in your bathroom is toothbrushes. Once the bristles on your toothbrush are worn out, it’s time to change them. This toothbrush therefore risks reaching the 4.7 billion other toothbrushes in landfills each year. Unlike the bamboo toothbrushes below, plastic toothbrushes are often difficult to recycle due to their composition containing several different types of plastics.
Brush with Bamboo is the world’s first plant-based toothbrush. Every component of our product is plant-based: bristles, handle, and box.

Detergent
The detergents are always more or less polluting due to their packaging or the chemicals they contain which flow into our pipes. There are currently alternative solutions to all the major brands which, unfortunately, often contain components which are dangerous for the environment. Aside from the soap nuts, I offer below some alternatives and solutions against the rejection of micro plastics in each of your detergents.
The ecoegg replaces your detergents and allows you to wash your clothes without the use of chemicals. Ecoegg contains mineral granules which naturally remove dirt.

Micro-plastic filters
During each wash, our synthetic clothing would lose more than 700,000 plastic fibers. That’s what this study from the University of Plymouth reveals. These micro-fibers would then be released into the wastewater by passing through our washing machine filters (not being adapted to catch them due to their size). This pollution source represents 60% of the micro plastics present in our rivers, sea and oceans. Here is a list of equipment to minimize this pollution.
Filters have been independently tested and proven to stop 90% of microfibres. Compatible with all washing machines. A closed-loop, circular solution: fully preventing pollution at every step.
