Demain
Cyril Dion, Mélanie Laurent

TODAY, we sometimes feel powerless in front of the various crises of our times. TODAY, we know that answers lie in a wide mobilization of the human race. Over the course of a century, our dream of progress commonly called “the American Dream”, fundamentally changed the way we live and continues to inspire many developing countries. We are now aware of the setbacks and limits of such development policies. We urgently need to focus our efforts on changing our dreams before something irreversible happens to our planet. TODAY, we need a new direction, objective… A new dream! The documentary Tomorrow sets out to showcase alternative and creative ways of viewing agriculture, economics, energy and education. It offers constructive solutions to act on a local level to make a difference on a global level. So far, no other documentary has gone down such an optimistic road… TOMORROW is not just a film, it is the beginning of a movement seeking to encourage local communities around the world to change the way they live for the sake of our planet.

The Plastic Age
Jake Sumner, Zach Neumeyer

The Plastic Age, this name given to the short film comes from the harmful use of plastic by society. Unlike paper, metal, glass or wood, it does not oxidize or bio-degrade. Instead, it often ends up in our oceans, polluting the seas and harming marine life. Currently, the world produces 288 million tons of plastic a year, and the damage in the ocean is measured by the plankton-to-plankton ratio, which is equivalent to “100 to 1”, far exceeding the essential food source of many large aquatic organisms, such as fish and whales. The documentary is produced in collaboration with G-Star RAW and features musician Pharrell Williams. In the hope of reducing waste, they co-designed a new innovative solution called Bionic Yarn, the world’s first line of jeans created from recycled plastic from the ocean.

Plastic Planet
Werner Boote

Werner Boote presents an up-close and personal view of the controversial material that has found its way into every facet of our daily lives: plastic. He takes us on an entertaining and alarming journey around the globe, showing that plastics have become a threat for both environment and human health.

A Plastic Ocean
Craig Leeson, Jo Ruxton

A PLASTIC OCEAN begins when journalist Craig Leeson, searching for the elusive blue whale, discovers plastic waste in what should be pristine ocean. In this adventure documentary, Craig teams up with free diver Tanya Streeter and an international team of scientists and researchers, and they travel to twenty locations around the world over the next four years to explore the fragile state of our oceans, uncover alarming truths about plastic pollution, and reveal working solutions that can be put into immediate effect.

Home
Yann Arthus-Bertrand

In 200,000 years of existence, man has broken the balance on which the Earth has lived for 4 billion years. Global warming, depletion of resources, extinction of species: the man has endangered his own home. But it is too late to be pessimistic: there is barely ten years left for humanity to reverse the trend, become aware of its excessive exploitation of the riches of the Earth, and change its mode of consumption.
